The data
Where does the carrier data come from?
From the FMCSA's public registry: the company census (USDOT numbers, addresses, phone, email, fleet size) and the licensing and insurance files (MC authority, grant dates, insurance). We read the official datasets every day and keep only active carriers with operating authority.
How new is a "new authority"?
We show carriers by the date their carrier authority was granted, newest first. FMCSA publishes most changes within a few days; once it's in their files, it's in HaulBloom the next morning.
Is every phone number and email right?
They are what the carrier gave the FMCSA, so most are right but some are out of date. Many new carriers list their filing agent's email instead of their own; we flag those so you can leave them out of exports and campaigns.
Is it legal to call and email these carriers?
The data is public, and calling a business about a service it may need is normal B2B prospecting. You are still responsible for following the rules where you work, such as honoring do-not-call requests and including an opt-out in marketing emails.
Using HaulBloom
How does a team avoid calling the same carrier twice?
Everyone works from one shared list. Setting a status or taking a carrier puts your name on it, and teammates see it straight away. On team plans you can assign carriers to people, and the call sheet skips carriers someone else owns.
What is the morning email?
Each weekday at the time you pick, an email with the new authorities in your states that nobody on your team has worked yet, plus your follow-ups due that day, with the full list attached as an Excel file. It comes with every paid plan.
Can I check a list of MC numbers I already have?
Yes. Paste or upload MC, USDOT, MX or FF numbers and HaulBloom fills in each carrier's details and status, ready to export or work. Each number counts as one lookup.
Can I email carriers from HaulBloom?
On the Outreach plan, yes: write one email with merge tags like the carrier's name and MC number, and HaulBloom sends a personal copy to each carrier from your own mailbox, one at a time at a safe pace. Replies go to your inbox. Every email carries your address and an unsubscribe link, and anyone who unsubscribes is never emailed again.
What happens to carriers who become my customers?
Mark them as customers and they disappear from every list, export, morning email and campaign, so nobody calls them as a stranger.
Plans and billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan shows a preview of the newest authorities and 25 lookups a month, with no card needed. Upgrade when you want the full list, phone and email for everyone, and exports.
What is a lookup?
Browsing and searching the carriers we hold is free on paid plans. A lookup is used when we check a number with the FMCSA for you, for each number in an import, and on the Free plan for opening a carrier outside the preview. The same carrier counts once a month.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Any time, from Settings. Upgrades start straight away and you pay the difference for the rest of the period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep everything until then.
Do you give refunds?
No. Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and are not refunded, in full or in part. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
What if a payment fails?
We let you know and retry the card. You keep your plan for 3 days while you update it; after that the workspace moves to Free until a payment goes through. Your data is kept.
How do yearly plans work?
Pay for a year up front and get two months free compared with paying monthly. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply.
